Acts 1:4-9. (Please read it. It will bless you!)
After three and a half years, the disciples spent time eating, walking and talking with Jesus. But the time came when it was time for Him to go back to the Father. Before He ascended into heaven, He gave specific instructions to the disciples and left them with these encouraging words, "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be My witnesses..."(Acts 1:8). I can only imagine how they felt when they saw Jesus being lifted up into heaven. I mean...after all they had been through together and all the ministry work they did together. They risked their lives and left their own families just to follow Jesus. But in Acts 1, they are left alone after watching Him leave them.
I wonder if they felt fear, discouragement and insignificant. Were they really ready to do this evangelism thing without Jesus at their side? Have you ever felt like you were left all alone? Perhaps you have been preparing to step into a new business, career, or ministry. In the beginning, you were confident in knowing you were Spirit-led, and it was God-ordained. But something happened to disturb your peace! Yes...I'm sure that's how the disciples felt as they watched Jesus ascend into heaven. In one scripture, the bible said that Peter went back fishing.
I have to admit that I have been in that same headspace of feeling insecure and insignificant. I found myself questioning the reason why I do what I do. But God, in His infinite wisdom, sent me a message through my professor. Professor Serranto said this in class the other night, "God NEVER expects you to do something that He will not empower you to do." And then he said, "Let me repeat...God will NEVER expect you to do something that He will not empower you to do!"
Whoever you are. Wherever you are, you need to know that you are an amazing woman of God. God have equipped you for whatever He have for you to do.
#YouAreEquipped by God!
Be blessed.

I agree with you Sandra. On the mission field when we were full-time faith based missionaries, we were reminded that God does not call the equipped; He equips those He calls and that was encouraging. Love Dr. Serrato. He was there through the ordeal of grief with Jeremiah! I was so grateful for his leadership and prayers. He actually had his entire church praying for Jeremiah and our family! I am EMPOWERED! Good on time word. God is with me. Amen
