Psalms 147:3 NKJV "He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds."
A wound is a physical injury that causes damage to the location of the injury. A scar is a mark left on the skin after a wound has healed. A wound is a permanent reminder of the body’s ability to repair itself. Such is the same when we apply this same perception to our spiritual life.
Maybe your abusive relationship has scared you with “insecurity” and your heart is flooded with pain and anger.
Maybe you have been scared with the fear of the inability to trust others due to unfaithful relationships and your wound is too deep to let go and forgive.
Perhaps you have been scared by family or friends who constantly look down on you and your children because you refuse to get stuck in a victim mentality.
I am a believer that all things happen for a purpose. If I was the author of my own life, I would only include good stuff and no PAIN! But when you are a child of God, you must learn to accept His sovereignty over your life. And learn to trust Him to have control of your life. Psalms 147:3-6; “He heals the heartbroken and bandages their wounds. He counts the stars and assigns each a name. Our Lord is great, with limitless strength; we’ll never comprehend what he knows and does. God puts the fallen on their feet again and pushes the wicked into the ditch.”
Listen, the thing about a wound is although it may be deep, it may be painful and sometimes it will put you on your knees in prayer. But when you serve a God who is the Healer of all diseases, and Creator of all things, you can trust that He will bind up your wounds. Remember that God is operating in what you think is impossible. God will take care of you during your pain. And once you get delivered, you can step back and say, “The Scar is still here, but the Wound is Healed, in Jesus name..”
For His glory….
