Peace in Your Pain

Updated: Jan 24, 2023

Ephesians 2:14-16

For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace."

Peace. What is Peace? What does it look like? “The fundamental definition for “peace” is well-being, prosperity, or wholeness as well as the absence of hostility.” Paul reminded the believers in Ephesus that the source of their peace was Christ. The sacrifice of Jesus broke every wall that hindered the unity of the church.

All of us will face some real-life challenges that will attempt to disturb our peace. Peace is more than living life without hostility. Listen…just like you can find purpose in your pain, you can have peace in the midst of your pain. When you are connected to the “Prince of Peace” (Jesus Christ), you ARE a child of the Most-High God. You can have peace in your pain when you know that you have done your holy ghost best to do what God has asked you to do.

So, just because you are still experiencing pain from a broken relationship, or a traumatizing experience, know that you can still have “peace” in the mist of your pain. Why? Because you have a relationship with the “Prince of Peace” who is Jesus Christ the Lord.
